About Us
I have been building since the late 70’s when I completed an adult carpentry apprenticeship. Later, I worked for myself, mainly on character homes. I have worked in Christchurch, Wanaka, Queenstown and across Banks Peninsula, doing additions, renovations, restorations and building new houses.
In 1990 I moved to Lyttelton and over the next few years restored four cottages in the central township in my spare time, while running a small team doing additions, alterations and building new homes. In 2010 I became a Licenced Building Practitioner (LBP) and after the Christchurch earthquake events, became involved with the re-build.
This included assessment and repair of all kinds, styles and ages of houses, buildings and retaining walls. Dealing with EQC, Insurance Companies, Project Management Companies, Engineers, Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, along with the Christchurch CIty Council.
Over this period there have been many changes to the building industry. Particularly changes to the NZ Building Code, engineering and design solutions.
I now focus on Property Inspections & Reports full time.
